Hip-Hop superstar Jay-Z is going to release his highly-anticipated album The Blueprint 3 on December 2, according to reports. If the date will be confirmed, December 2008 will see the releases from some of Hip-Hop's icons including 50 Cent with Before I Self Destruct, Dr. Dre with Detox and Eminem's new album Empack. Several tracks were leaked to the internet already but an executive close to Jay-Z said that none of them will make the final cut for The Blueprint 3, except for Swagga Like Us and the first official single Jockin' Jay-Z. Blueprint 3 will be the last album on Hov's contract with powerhouse Def Jam. In related news, Jay-Z officially announced his new partnership with production duo StarGate and his project of creating a recording company called StarRoc Music Publishing. Both parties issue a statement, saying, "the focus is to find new talent and develop artists through mutually beneficial global partnerships which include music distribution, publishing, touring and merchandising."
