The hip-hop community is still mourning the loss of rapper Pop Smoke. On Sunday, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson announced his aspirations to finish the album on which Pop Smoke was working when he died.

“I’m on the move listening to Pop smoke, I decided I’m gonna executive produce and finish his album for him,” 50 wrote on Instagram.

50 Cent went right into producer mode, reaching out to others artists for features, writing, “Tell Roddy Ricch I’m looking for him, I need him on Pop album.” Ricch responded with the handshake emoji and the words, “Say less.” 50 continued in another post calling to recruit Drake and Chris Brown to help complete Smoke’s debut album.

Pop Smoke died from a gunshot wound to his torso during a home invasion at his Hollywood Hills home last month. The 20-year-old rapper has just released his second mixtape, Meet the Woo 2, featuring the Quavo-assisted “Shake the Room.” His breakthrough single, “Welcome to the Party,” from his debut Meet the Woo mixtape, was the song of the summer last year, followed up by his single “Dior.”
