Jets vs. Broncos odds, picks, how to watch, live stream: Model reveals 2021 Week 3 NFL predictions, best bets
Written by Luck Wilson on September 27, 2021
The Broncos haven’t made the postseason since 2015, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to get off to a fast start. Denver is 2-0 for the seventh time in nine seasons, although half of those previous six 2-0 starts didn’t end with a playoff berth. Denver will look to push its record to 3-0 on Sunday as the Broncos get to play their first home game of the 2021 NFL season. They will await the New York Jets (0-2), who are looking to avoid going 0-3 for the third straight year.
Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET from Empower Field at Mile High. The latest Jets vs. Broncos odds list Denver as the 10-point favorite according to Caesars Sportsbook, and the over-under for total points is 41.5. In select markets, Sunday’s matchup can be seen live on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Week 3 NFL picks for Jets vs. Broncos
Before you tune in to Sunday’s Broncos vs. Jets game, you need to see the NFL picks from SportsLine’s advanced computer model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,800 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 3 of the 2021 season on an incredible 122-81 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.
The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.
For Jets vs. Broncos, the model is backing the Over (41.5) to hit with points to spare. In fact, SportsLine’s model projects there to be 46 total points scored, resulting in the Over hitting in almost 60 percent of simulations.
The Jets simply finding the end zone may be considered exceeding expectations as the team failed to score a touchdown last week. But New York gets a boost with the news that Broncos LB Bradley Chubb will not suit up due to an ankle injury. Many of Zach Wilson’s struggles have been due to pressure in the pocket, but with one of the NFL’s best pass rushers out, Wilson should be able to better execute the game plan.
On the other side of the ball, New York’s defense isn’t projected to contain a balanced Broncos offense led by Teddy Bridgewater. He completed at least 75 percent of his passes in each of the first two games, while rookie RB Javonte Williams is poised to unseat Melvin Gordon atop the depth chart at any moment. Williams averaged 4.9 yards per carry in Week 2 and is projected to top Gordon in total yardage in Week 3. The kickers will also be a major factor in the thin air of Denver and the model forecasts them to combine for 14 points.
