Al-Nassr are in talks with two clubs over the sale of Sadio Mane as the transfer deadline approaches for Saudi Pro League clubs.
Neither interested party, based in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, has yet met Al-Nassr’s demands for the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich forward, who arrived in a $44 million deal last season.

The Riyadh club are, however, prepared to do a deal for Mane, which would open up one of eight senior international roster spots available to them before the Saudi window closes later on Monday. One such place has already opened up after Alex Telles’ contract was terminated, but that is due to be taken by Mohamed Simakan of RB Leipzig. In a separate deal Angelo Gabriel is expected to sign from Chelsea for $25.5 million. The Brazilian would take one of two slots afforded to foreign players aged under 21. Angelo is understood to have already travelled to the kingdom to complete his move.

Mane’s first season in Saudi Arabia saw him deliver 19 goals and 11 assists across 46 games in all competitions, but the presence of the Senegal international was not enough to lift them to top spot in the Pro League. Elsewhere Al-Ittihad’s failure to snare Leandro Trossard from Arsenal has seen them pivot to a move for Porto winger Galeno. The Gunners rejected a loan offer from the Jeddah side, insisting that there is no price at which they would sanction a deal when they are unable to secure a replacement following the closure of the Premier League transfer window.
