Houston didn’t have much trouble with the Cincinnati Bearcats at home on Tuesday, and took a decisive 71-53 victory. Forward Fabian White Jr. was the offensive standout of the game for Houston, and posted a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Josh Carlton only made three of his eight shots from the field, but he still finished with 15 points after he went 9-for-11 from the free throw line. Kyler Edwards and Taze Moore each also scored 12 points in the win.

Houston has the best shooting defense in the nation this season, and has held opponents to shooting just 36.9 percent from the field. White has been more than just a scorer for the Cougars and has held his own on the defensive end as well, with 1.6 blocks per game this season. In their last meeting with Temple, Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson played just a seven-man rotation, but that the Owls only could manage to hit 39.2 percent of their attempts in the game.
