ICYMI: SZA reveals her favorite artist, Drake snippets leak and more

If you were wondering who SZA‘s favorite artist is, it’s her TDE label mate Doechii. She told the world on social platform X Thursday, also praising Doechii’s new music video for “Denial is a River.” “Yea, Doechii is my favorite artist [right now], hands down. F*** the genre.” She then retweeted Doechii’s announcement of her new music video, writing, “LOOK AT THE MATERIAL.”

Three snippets of unreleased Drake songs leaked on Thursday night, giving fans some idea of what he has in the vault. One featured PartyNextDoor and is likely part of their upcoming joint album, while the other finds him making references to Lil Durk, 21 Savage and seemingly his public feud with Kendrick Lamar. “F*** a rap beef, I’m tryna get the party lit,” he raps. The third track finds Drake addressing a woman on a mid-tempo beat.

Lupe Fiasco‘s work with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology continues with a “24 hour fully AI powered radio station” trained on his rapping abilities and “refined to produce the highest quality possible Lupe Fiasco songs.” Lupe teases the radio station, titled ENDLESS LUP, will play “a generated song once and never again endlessly,” will only be “available for certain periods of time and only in certain locations” and will only be accessible via an actual FM radio. “ENDLESS LUP coming soon,” he wrote on Instagram. Lupe’s also rolling out a “multi-modal/multimedia creative musical sandbox” called First RhymenShop, which includes physical musical releases exclusively available to those with RhymenShop DCS USB Cards.
