One of McClure’s top PGA DFS picks for the Northern Trust 2021: Tyrrell Hatton at $7,800 on DraftKings and $9,500 on FanDuel.
Hatton doesn’t explode off the tee quite as much as some of the other top contenders, but he enters this week’s event ranked among the best putters on tour. In fact, the 29-year-old ranks inside the top-15 in putting average (1.725), overall putting average (1.572) and 3-putt avoidance (1.75). The Englishman also ranks 15th in strokes gained: tee-to-green (1.160) and 11th in strokes gained: approach the green (.715), which makes him an extremely valuable PGA DFS asset.
McClure’s optimal PGA DFS strategy also includes rostering Daniel Berger at $9,100 on DraftKings and $10,800 on FanDuel. Berger, who’s coming off a fifth-place finish at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, is an almost sure-fire bet to be near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.
