Rams defensive backs Jalen Ramsey and Taylor Rapp got into a scuffle during the first quarter of Sunday’s road game against the Baltimore Ravens. Ramsey was seen punching Rapp during the huddle before the players were separated by teammates.
Both players kept their distance from the other when the Rams’ defense went back to the sideline. Ramsey and Rapp were seen speaking with teammates and a member of the Rams’ coaching staff.
Despite their inner turmoil, the Rams’ defense did not allow to Ravens to score on that possession. Los Angeles nevertheless fell behind 7-0 on Chuck Clark’s pick-six of quarterback Matthew Stafford near the end of the first quarter. Stafford was again picked off by Clark at the start of the second quarter.
Los Angeles (11-4) needs a win in order to keep pace with the Packers in the race to win the NFC’s only playoff bye. Baltimore (8-7) is hoping to halt a four-game losing streak while staying alive in the race to win the AFC North division.
