How to watch Suns vs. Jazz basketball game

Who’s Playing

Utah @ Phoenix

Current Records: Utah 37-22; Phoenix 49-11

What to Know

The Utah Jazz haven’t won a game against the Phoenix Suns since Oct. 28 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Sunday. The Jazz will head out on the road to face off against Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. ET at Footprint Center. Utah will be strutting in after a victory while the Suns will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Utah didn’t have too much breathing room in their contest with the Dallas Mavericks this past Friday, but they still walked away with a 114-109 win. It was another big night for Utah’s shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, who shot 7-for-12 from beyond the arc and finished with 33 points and five dimes. Mitchell’s afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 30 points.

Meanwhile, the matchup between Phoenix and the New Orleans Pelicans this past Friday was not particularly close, with Phoenix falling 117-102. The Suns’ loss shouldn’t obscure the performances of shooting guard Devin Booker, who had 30 points and five assists, and center Deandre Ayton, who had 20 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Jazz are expected to win a tight contest. Now might not be the best time to take Utah against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.

Utah is now 37-22 while Phoenix sits at 49-11. Two offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Utah comes into the contest boasting the third highest field goal percentage in the league at 47.40%. But the Suns are even better: they enter the contest with a 48.20% field goal percentage, which is the best in the league. This one is shaping up to be an exciting offensive shootout.
