The ticket prices for Drake‘s It’s A Blur Tour with 21 Savage have resulted in a class-action lawsuit against Ticketmaster.

Toronto Star reports LPC Avocat Inc., “a class action law firm focusing on protecting consumer rights,” has accused the ticketing company of price gouging, noting it “intentionally misleads consumers for their own financial gain.” The firm specifically cited the experience of a Montreal man who spent nearly $780 each for two Official Platinum seats, and discovered the price for the same seats had dropped to $350 after Drake announced a second show.

LPC alleged that Ticketmaster “concealed” information about the second night to “squeeze” money from consumers and complained about the ticketing giant’s process of determining which seats would be sold as Official Platinum Tickets.

“Ticketmaster unilaterally decides which tickets it advertises and sells as ‘Official Platinum’ based on a given event,” the suit reads. “The result is that most, if not all, of the tickets advertised and sold as ‘Official Platinum’ are neither ‘premium tickets’ nor ‘some of the best seats in the house’ and are, in fact, just regular tickets sold by Ticketmaster at an artificially inflated premium in bad faith.”

If approved by the Quebec Superior Court, the suit against Ticketmaster will seek $300 per customer in punitive damages and compensatory damages that aim to cover “the difference between prices charged for Official Platinum tickets and what their regular prices ought to have been.”
