West Ham vs. Man United lineups, prediction, pick: Where to watch Premier League, live stream, TV channel, odd

Sunday sees West Ham United and Manchester United go up against each other in the Premier League with Julen Lopetegui and Erik ten Hag both needing a win at London Stadium. The Hammers were thumped 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspur last week while the Red Devils edged Brentford 2-1 before drawing 1-1 with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in midweek. West Ham have scored 11 goals to United’s seven but have no clean sheets in 13 Premier League home games while Ten Hag’s visitors are now unbeaten in five away games of which four have been draws.

United are seeking four consecutive EPL clean sheets on the road for the first time since 2020 while Lopetegui’s hosts are out to end a run of seven games without a shutout across all competitions. A lead against Spurs turned into defeat and a red card for Mohammed Kudus but West Ham did win 2-0 against United in their last home game of 2023 under David Moyes which was their second consecutive home win against the Red Devils.

Ten Hag kept cool while Mourinho cracked during the midweek Europa League draw with Christian Eriksen on target for United who relied heavily on Andre Onana in goal. Before that, Ethan Pinnock gave Brentford the lead at Old Trafford while Matthijs de Ligt was off the field getting treatment but Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund saved the day for Ten Hag.

Here are our storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

How to watch and odds

  • Date: Sunday, October 27 | Time: 10 a.m. ET
  • Location: London Stadium – London, England
  • Watch: Peacock Premium
  • Odds: West Ham +188; Draw +275; United +130

Season so far

Lopetegui’s men are 15th in the Premier League standings after last weekend’s heavy loss although a win of any sort would lift the Irons above United on goal difference. The win over Brentford is the Red Devils’ only success that Ten Hag’s men can boast from their last seven games with the 12th spot in the EPL table leaving them six points adrift of the top four.

Team news

West Ham: Kudus starts his three-game ban after his dismissal against Spurs and will miss the Nottingham Forest and Everton games. West Ham have played five EPL games without the Ghana international and are unbeaten across all of them. Crysencio Summerville should deputize for Kudus with summer signing Niclas Fullkrug also expected to miss out. Edson Alvarez could be in contention to replace Guido Rodriguez in holding midfield.

Possible West Ham XI: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Alvarez; Bowen, Paqueta, Soucek, Summerville; Antonio.

United: Captain Bruno Fernandes is back from suspension and ready to feature after seeing Noussair Mazraoui replace him in midweek. Ten Hag will also be hoping that Jonny Evans returns while Antony is now doubtful with a knock. Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount are already ruled out.

Possible United XI: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Evans, Martinez; Eriksen, Casemiro; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund.

Prediction

This one feels like United should be able to sneak a narrow win over West Ham given the high-stakes nature of the clash. Considering the Red Devils’ away form and the Hammers’ struggles to keep things tight at home, it feels like one goal should probably be enough. Pick: West Ham 0, United 1.
